Now can we all just get along?... Maybe we should start making out...

Of course, I'm pirating too, maybe not VC games but normal games, I have like 30 games on flashcard and about 20 wii/gamecube games. So stop bothering people with legal stuff.Eternal Myst said:I am not saying that you can't use it for homebrew ,because I don't care.
....but most people on this forum pirate stuff, and well yeah.
Stop questioning jan,and telling him he shouldn't do that or this.

Too much problem for them. Really, do you believe that some nintendo guy trying to down GBAtemp? There's homebrew too.Shinster said:If homebrew is illegal then Nintendo would be trying to shut down homebrew sites like what they've done to some rom sites.
Shinster said:Homebrew is not legal? Why do you think its forbidden to post links to ISOs and ROMs here and not for homebrew stuff?
And stealing Wiiware is more destructive because some wiiware games are from independent devs trying to make a decent living.

stealing is stealing, assume

With this I post to close this useless topic. End of transmissionJacobeian said:what's the difference anyway ?
the reason you pirate is simple, like anybody else: you take what is free & easy and you don't care if it's illegal or not, you goal is to have fun, whatever the means are
stop talking about money problems or the fact you can not download stuff, do you hi-jack people in the street because they have something you want but can't afford it ? did you steal your computer or you internet connection too ?
and yes, emulators ARE legal as long as they don't include proprietary code, ROMS & BIOS are illegal because of this reason, and it does not matter if you own the legal cartridge or not because public ROM distribution is illegal... see the difference ?
In the past, in the context of the wii, nintendo has expressed an open mind towards homebrewskawo96 said:NO/dude, homebrew is maybe for us legal BUT NINTENDO DON'T WANT IT ON THEIR CONSOLE, THEY HAVE RIGHTS FOR CONSOLE AND THEY DON'T WANT HOMEBREW.THUS IT'S ILLEGAL FOR THEM.
precisely, no more arguing.Shinster said:Nintendo doesn't want homebrew because people exploit it to steal their games. Homebrew programs, per se, [are] not illegal.

In the past I would have Playstation than a Wii. Now they don't want it, and we want, as well as they don't want pirated games. Oh and I have cooled down the font a littlekillplaystation said:In the past, in the context of the wii, nintendo has expressed an open mind towards homebrewskawo96 said:NO/dude, homebrew is maybe for us legal BUT NINTENDO DON'T WANT IT ON THEIR CONSOLE, THEY HAVE RIGHTS FOR CONSOLE AND THEY DON'T WANT HOMEBREW.THUS IT'S ILLEGAL FOR THEM.
