I have exactly the same issue. My Games are launched properly on SD'S and a regular usb. Are detected on a flash drive as well, But too rarely launched. Idk if this happens me only with any hdd, therefore I dont want to get a new one without being sure first. So please since you're the most expert in wii modding I'd like your help.

Hello,

correctly install your CIOS (249, 250 and 251) with this guide ==>https://wii.guide/cios

or use Modmii from @XFlak (link in his signature) to update your CIOS.

then use a real FAT32 external hard drive with "" wii backup manager "" to manage your games and you will be fine.

Can u try an alternate hdd? As I said it could be an incompatible drive.

You can improve flash drive compatibility by formatting it as wbfs, but u would forgo many of the benefits of fat32.

You should also update your cios's as previously suggested, your cios' installed to slots 249 and 250 are virtually identical

That is not a HDD, 256 GB sounds like a flash drive or SSD. Flash drives are notorious for poor compatibility with USB loaders, you should use an external HDD.

It's normal, just stick with external HDDs.

Thought that the problem was the wire but already tried with another one. This was reasonable but for some reason it does work fine in any windows 10 and not in wii or switch
256 GB sounds like a flash drive
I can't use 256gb HDDs or higher on Wii? This is what I said before
My Games are launched properly on SD'S and a regular usb. Are detected on a flash drive as well, But too rarely launched. Idk if this happens me only with any hdd
Maybe this video can describe better the problem
