Gaming HD Video files

Can the 360 play hd files.
I have avi and vod files which are both hd but wont play on my xbox.
I read some were that vod files worked.
The only files i have ever got to work were one i converted using videora xbox360 converter but those don't look as good.
Any one know if the 360 can play hd files, if so what kind?

The only HD format it plays is WMVHD.

And that's pretty rare because it's pretty shitty.

on xboxsky you can find a BUNCH of hd videos that play on your 360. Hopefully you're a member.

Actually they are not rare at all IF you know where to go to get them. I have tons of bluray rips that are in WMVHD format
