Comments like that are seriously un-necessary. Seriously both formats provided the same level of HD video, and HD-DVD had other benefits like region-free and a universal profile, hence why a lot of people liked the format and wanted it to succeed.

Do you on the other hand have a reason for not liking HD-DVD?

Stating it wasn't alive is just ignorant, it was available in a large amount of shops.
