EDIT: .....so it turns out this entire time ive been putting it in the wrong folder...
So to make up for my horrendous mistake and waste of a post, i will make sure that anyone who reads this doesnt make the same mistake as me.

heres where I went wrong.

4*.If you want to record Pokemon ORAS battle videos with Citra, put the extdata folder (named "user") extracted from 3DS (using homebrew like JK Save Manager or 3ds extdata dump and restore tool) in the following folder: Citra\user\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\00000000000000000000000000000000\00000000000000000000000000000000\extdata\00000000\0011c500 -> Pokemon Alpha Sapphire

Instead of putting it there I was putting the extdata in:
Citra\user\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\00000000000000000000000000000000\00000000000000000000000000000000\extdata\000011C5

both folders were pretty similar, so im going to blame it on the fact that I was ultra tired.

so the emulator couldn't find my extdata although everything else was correct.

Sorry again for the mistake, hope that my fail can help someone out!

Original Post*
Hey! So I've really wanted to record some of my versus battles on Alpha Sapphire using citra but I have been having trouble. I was able to do it once a few weeks ago before I went out of town but everytime I have tried since I have had no luck. The problem is that when i dump extdata (into user folder) using JK save manager on my 2ds, when i bring that file over to my PC it says that I have no battle videos even though on my 2ds i clearly have videos. Am i placing it in the wrong folder? I found this tutorial in a note with the Citra install. This is is what I followed when trying to get it working.

1.Install Visual C++ 2015 (both x86 and x64 versions) Redistributable on your PC, download it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=48145

2.Put the decrypted game ROM (in .3ds format) in the Citra folder.

3.Put the game savefile (named "main") extracted from 3DS (using homebrew like JK Save Manager or SVDT) inside this folder: Citra\user\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\00000000000000000000000000000000\00000000000000000000000000000000\title\00040000\<GAME ID> GAME ID: 0011c400 -> Pokemon Omega Ruby 0011c500 -> Pokemon Alpha Sapphire

4*.If you want to record Pokemon ORAS battle videos with Citra, put the extdata folder (named "user") extracted from 3DS (using homebrew like JK Save Manager or 3ds extdata dump and restore tool) in the following folder: Citra\user\sdmc\Nintendo 3DS\00000000000000000000000000000000\00000000000000000000000000000000\extdata\00000000\<GAME ID> GAME ID: 0011c400 -> Pokemon Omega Ruby 0011c500 -> Pokemon Alpha Sapphire

5.Use CPU-Z to verify what set of instructions is supported by your computers CPU. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html Run the Citra executable accordingly: citra-qt-gcc-sse3.exe -> generally older CPU's like Intel Core2Duo/Core2Quad, AMD Phenom/Phenom II, citra-qt-gcc-sse4.1.exe -> moderately new CPU's, like Intel Core i3/i5/i7 , all AMD FX CPU's that don't support AVX, citra-qt-gcc-avx.exe -> same as above, recommended if AVX is supported by CPU (verify it with "Instuctions" field in CPU-Z), citra-qt-sandy.exe -> recommended for Intel Sandy Bridge / Ivy Bridge CPU's (verify it with "Codename" field in CPU-Z), citra-qt-haswell.exe -> recommended for Intel Haswell / Skylake CPU's (verify it with "Codename" field in CPU-Z).

Alternatively, you can just try all of the .exe's and see which one works for you.

6.Load up your ROM, if you put the savefile and extdata in correct folders, you should be able to continue the game and play your battle videos with Vs. Recorder.

I was trying to do this for hours last night and like I said i was able to do it a few weeks ago, the emulator is finding my main save file properly and it is the updated with the proper save (main) that is currently on my 2ds but when i go to versus recorder the battles aren't there even though it is on my 2ds. if you can give me any insight as to what im doing wrong i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks
