They are maybe in trouble as it happened back to the cyclowiz days. Sometimes i wonder if this team is not tied to Divineo, and this could explain why we didn't heard of them lately ...

I remember researching what brand of cart to buy and the original CycloDS came up all the time because of its great support and features. I didn't have a problem with the price because I was used to spending 100 plus for GBA cards back in the day. Later found out I didn't need the extra features and use my Acekard most of the time. I have relegated my Cyclo for GBA serving needs.

The CycloDS evolution used to be the best card around due to it's amazing customer support, build quality, game compatibility, etc.
But now it sadly became like the R4.

without gelu the cyclods wouldn't have had such great compatibility. but in the end people only remember the results not the fact that many of their updates were done by breaking the license gelu released his firmware under.

-another world

I always figured they would pull a move like this. They did the samething with their slot 2.

I'm sure TC will come back with some kind of spectacular 3DS cart, but knowing what they pulled with their other two carts will make me stay far from it. From now I'm only going to stick with Supercards, and maybe Acekards.

TC should consider to release the sources of the iEvo now instead of let it die like that.

The same thing happened to the ds-x a couple of years ago ...

Too bad, i bought a CycloDS Evolution when it came out, support was always very good or very bad (nothing in between), and they always came back with something new, but this time, i don't know, it feels like the end...

Kinda' like how during the whole Wood GPL issue people were all "Forget the GPL we like Wood", but when (false) rumors started going around that the GBA emulator for the DSTwo was GPL'd, those same people were demanding the source release? :P

Results, not policies.

Ive contacted them and this is their answer, and i replyed "Can you give an E.T.A when the forum back online again?"

I've pretty much lost all faith in TC. Their forum being down only alienates any of the last loyal fans they might have had. They can "say" anything they want, but a lack of updates is a lack of updates. And they've been lacking for far too long. If they ever produce another update, I'll be surprised. And I be sure to never buy another product from them.

I will use my CycloDS until either I beat all my games or it stops working. With the rom tool by RGF, I can fix any game and I dont need any features. TC being gone will not stop me from loving the product I bought in early '08 and continue to use daily. So long TC, dont care bout you, but love my CycloDS Evolution. Beats my DSTWO, DSTT and Wood R4 without competition.

Too bad the Rom Tool doesn't have anything for the international versions of Kirby Mass Attack.

How the hell does the CycloDS beat the DStwo. I have the CycloDSi iEVO and have never even wanted to use it because I have a DStwo.

That's angry fanboy talk
He's in denial, and living in the past

We all moved on to new systems that makes the cycloDS useless...the iEvo can't evole :(

TC could at least release a fix for the DS mode on DSi and 3DS.

Maybe they are waiting for the 3DS november update to be released to fix that issue ?

Maybe not. :P

I don't know, but this is the mail I got today from them:

Hello,

The R&D team are aware of the situation concerning the 3DS firmware 2.1.0-3+ and the DSi update 1.4.3 . Our engineers are working on it, soon as we have more information our website will be updated.

obviously they didn't answered my question...

hehe, funny; I sent them an email a long while ago and got that exact same response. The website is back online just the forums are down. Either they shut it down till they get a fix or they ran because they don't have a developer/programmer to finish the job.

Wasn't the team supposed to come back with a new firmware update by end of september? Nonetheless I and a lot of other people are done with this team. Talking about pissing customers off big time.

I suspect that September thing was just a rumor someone started to stir Cyclo fans up. It was obviously BS since we haven't heard squat from TC since May.

I'm pretty much done with TC and the DS in general. I've had a DS since they initially launched, so I've already played just about everything I cared about for it. Other than getting into that Aliens game and that Metroid Bros. ROM hack (if the dude ever quits improving it and finally releases it {grumble, grumble}) will likely be the last games I ever bother with on it. Any further gaming on it will be homebrew and emu's. I've kinda moved on to the PSP which, even though it's pretty much a dead system, still has lots of games I've never seen, let alone played, and they aren't all cutesy/kiddie games either, so it suits my tastes in games much better than the DS ever did.

At least I can still use the CycloDS for what it is.....and most games get a crack eventually anyway, so it really doesn't matter to me if TC ever comes back or not. I just know that I will never buy another product from them ever again.
