I bought a Wiikey clone from Divineo a while back.
I sent my disc drive and Wiikey clone to a fella to solder it in for me.

I got it back the other night and put my Wii back together.
Works perfectly as it used to.
He went ahead and updated my Wiikey FW to the latest, so that it can play Mario Galaxy.

But, tonight, I updated to the latest Wii Firmware.
It updated, no problem.

But, I'm hesistant to put in the Mario Galaxy Back-Up...
can you answer this simple question:

Will Mario Galaxy Back-Up Disc Brick/Damage my [NTSC] Wii since it has the latest Wii Firmware?

Sorry if I sound ignorant and lazy...I'm very new to the whole Wii Modchip "stuff" and Wii Scene...

hey, glad everythings working out for you

Super Mario Galaxy NTSC wont damage your system unless if your using a PAL system. it kinda humors me a bit since thats the game i tested to make sure your wiikey worked.

*Edit*
only thing currently able to brick your wii is other region's update, if you didnt have a up to date wii firmware. so long as you stay away from other region games it's safe or use a patcher to prevent bricking for some games.

Whew, thanks again Takrin!
You are a true modgod
