It is interesting a very such a mixed batch of reviews for him.
I think that’s a sign that people shouldn’t trust him. It’s mostly negative reviews, people being ghosted, and other problems. It’s pretty safe to say that this is mostly scam service and people shouldn’t use it.

Paid for the mail in service for him to mod my switch. Looked at reviews after the fact and didn’t want to send him my switch based on all the negative feedback. Contacted him through his business Facebook messenger on Monday to refund my money and no response.

That is odd & really shady. Looking at the site it says the soldering station is currently being replaced. Still not an excuse for poor customer service.

It was he was sick for awhile, and solder station being replaced has been there as an excuse for months now. Definitely shady.

Is this website legit? Do they do quality work?
The website has had my money for 4 months. I have sent 30 plus emails without any response. I have asked for a refund they will not respond. They have not shipped anything to me either. I do not recommend this website as they may be legit but they do not want to help me.

Ordered my migswitch on January 3, 2024 at 7:40pm... My ordernumber was 11xx... I also tried to send email but i got no response.. I did get the 20$ refund back to my card like he stated on the homepage when the dumper would not be included.. Today the status was changed from "Pending fulfillment" to "Fulfilled"... so maybe there will be a small box in the mailbox soon :) My guess is that customer support was kind of decimated when he started to recieve thousands upon thousands orders and probably the same amount of emails... Of course he should have done something like more updates on the homepage or something... I will update if and when i recieve the migswitch...

I agree, but to a degree i can understand the delays with this type of product and also the problems that can arise for the companies taking in them in stock... I'm not trying to defend moddedhardware in any way but i completely understand that this whole thing has been waaaay over his head... He could at least have posted more updates about the situation instead of turning totally silent...

Good news to everybody who have been scammed out by Modded Hardware. These guys are getting sued by Nintendo.

I think many of those with pending orders (like since jan) are over the max time for chargebacks. Even for those who are still within the grace period, they might not be able to get it back if the court has issued(ninty would have likely asked for one at the outset so as to prevent the guy from dissipating assets) an injunction to freeze moddedhardware's assets including bank accounts. Likely most of the money will end up in ninty's pockets in the form of damages as part of a settlement.

How come he is the only one getting sued if there are sellers on YouTube that show their faces and post weekly DIL videos?

There is also another being sued. It's probably due to a couple factors. The first being that those being sued were also allegedly distributing nintendo games on sd cards, so it makes them even bigger targets. Another factor could be jurisdiction. Those two seem to be in the US so it makes it easier to go after them, others may be located in different countries.

Ninty doesn't have to go after all of them either. Many of them will likely voluntarily back out after seeing those two being made an example out of.

All the big names in modding are based in the USA and they do all of the above. The guy that allegedly is being sued by nintendo barely even sold consoles, most of his profit came from his scam.

Apparently he received a cease and desist letter from Nintendo and replied and said he would cease operations but continued doing it anyway. He received a second letter and totally ignored it. This is according to Reddit comments, so take it with a grain of salt, but if true, he definitely had this coming to him.
