Hardware Hardmod New 3ds XL

I want to install a micro usb port on my new 3ds xl so i don't have to solder every time to switch NAND or whatever.
I have all the materials and i know how to solder.

My problems:
1) Where do i do the hole? and HOW i do the hole? ( what did you use?)
2) How do i cut the Female USB Micro-B connector? and how do i place it into the console, do i have to use hot glue?

Soldering iron, dremel, file, hot glue gun, exacto knife....etc etc

That's very useful , thank you very much man . So i have to use an excato knife to cut the plastic off. that's nice to hear

use a nail file, it makes it much smother then the knife, the knife get's uneven, nail file + 10 minuts of your time and you will have a perfect spot.
