    Hello,

    I have a problem with N3DSXL hardmod

    1. I read "nand.bin" (1.21gb) and check in Hex editor "NSCD" in line 100.

    2. I modified to "nand_patched.bin" and i write

    3. N3DSXL Error F8F8FFFF with "nand_patched.bin" and i write one more time with original "nand.bin" and the same error.

Its possible "nand.bin" original corrupted? (i have only one copy)

    Can i fix "nand.bin"?

Thanks for answer. (sorry me english..)

You should have made several nand backups. I don't know what you could do now :/

If the size is correct and you see the string "NSCD" there are good changes that the image is good.
    Have you rechecked your installation?
You get the same error with the sd card removed from the reader?

    00F800FF F8F8FFFF FFFFFFFF 00000000 00000000
Both the firm0 and firm1 partitions are corrupt (failed signature checks).

Are you sure you patched the img correctly?

R: Yes it is correctly patched and the original "nand.bin" the same error F8F8FFFF

    1. I do not rechecked the wires.

    2. With the sd card removed from the reader error F8F8FFFF
With the sd card into a Lenovo laptop reader "00000400" (ready to read/write)

I think is possible laptop can read fine but it can not write in the correct form.

I try to buy a Anker sd reader...

I heard, concerning SD readers, that the n3ds is know for being a pain in the *ss.
If you're lucky enough, that will be the only issue

You used a hex editor to check the nand instead of 3DS Nand checker? It might be possible that you accidentally edited the nand and saved the changes. I always make 2-3 nand backups. I check all of them and keep one untouched in case anything like this happens.

It is also possible you are using the older autofirm programs. If you don't clear the folder of any older bin files that you might have used before, you are bound to get into this problem.

In any case, we are merely waiting for universal nands that will be available through sighax.

Your nand is corrupted. Your best luck is to desolder the whole hardmod without leaving a single trace of solder an give it to nintendo to fix it.
