Hacking Hardmod dump problems

i wired a hardmod into my old 3ds, I get the blue error screen and the wires buzz through ok but no matter what card reader I try, including a rts5306 based card reader bought especially, on both a win10 x64 and win7 x32 system I just get a disk not inserted error.
If the blue screen comes up on the ds does that prove the internal wiring is ok?
Is the card reader that specific? I have the same chipset but a slightly different model of reader, could that be the problem?

Does the dump work ok on Windows 10 x64?

Man, check the wires from SD. It's wrong positions.
