Gaming Hardest DS Games

Yup.. SMT Devils survivor IS the hardest game i've ever played.. I must have tried the game over 20 times and each time i wouldn't be able to get very far. Probably three fights in and i would be getting smashed by the opponent.


Etrian Oddysey is also really tough.

That game is not hard at all. Well the first one anyway... MMZ2 is kinda tough.
I got the game Friday and finished it on Saturday. No problem. No cheats. Just learn to use Cyber elves that boost your health.

The SMT games weren't too hard for me. Devil's Survivor was extremely easy until the Lucifer fight since I pumped all my points into MAG. Strange Journey was easy until the difficulty suddenly increased, but it was still pretty easy.

I'd have to go with Etrian Odyssey I and II just because they're the hardest DS game that I've played.

This is true. The MMZC could be hard at the begining, but after a while it changes to a more friendly dificult (or I'm getting used to it?).

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the game which surpasses even Etrian Odyssey, at least according to what I've read, I haven't gotten around to playing it. The Dark Spyre. It's supposedly so hardcore, that even reviving a character is so costly at the beginning that you may want to reload, not to say that the first fight can kill you more easily than in EO.

That aside, why do you all say Knights in the Knighmare is difficult? I'm now at stage 6 or 7 and have gotten though the game like a breeze, and only missed one or two unlockable knights because I didn't get the key item(s) which are really hard to get in one of the first stages.

That game was brutal. Still, nothing quite surpasses the sheer "oh, I'm fucked" moment of facing your first F.O.E. in Etrian Odyssey, and still nothing inspires the kind of panic that trying to dodge a moving F.O.E.

FOE is basically a stronger version of normal monster that is almost like a mini-boss. They are either purple or red color. If you aren't well prepared, you will get raped by them.

I'm never quite sure why KitN gets mentioned for difficulty.
Fun, definitely.
New, innovative, interesting, hell yeah.
Difficult, no.
It's just not hard...at all. I played through the whole game in Japanese, and ran into no problems.
I went about halfway in English and realized I honestly didn't miss much in Japanese and quit to play new games.
Though I have to say, you look pretty hardcore playing your DS at high speeds. It's just easier then it looks, lol.
I got a lot of "holy shit, what the hell are you doing?".

If you want a hard game, try playing Nanostray 2 (not the first one- the first one was easier and better overall).

I think the MegamanZero Collection is hard...not because I'm lame at the game, but because I'm definitely sure that the people that made the game purposely made Beginner Mode so insanely easy for the first three games of the series that when you get to the fourth one (where they don't give you max energy and superb cheapness), you are so used to having it easy that you can't play it correctly anymore xD. (The first three were jack easy though...I just ran through everything and always ended with "Godspeed Edge Rank C" xD)

Retro Game Challenge is kind of hard (and amusing at the same time).
