Ok i have so nearly thrown my DS at my wall after playing megaman zero collection i have TRIED to complete every mission on 1 , got anoyed at the fact i cant use the spear hook properly on 2 , played 3 and fell down one of the holes near the end of one of the first levels and just got so fustrated i couldnt be bother to play 4 lol

My votes for the 3 hardest DS games iv played:

megaman zero collection (1 is pretty much unplayable for me)
etrian odyssey 1+2 (never have i been so owned by the first fight in a game)
bangai o spirits (not all levels in this are mega hard but some are insane)

What other hard games for DS have i not played?

Try to catch a feebas in pokemon emerald (gba, yes I know

Shovelware. Simply because its too hard to sit there and play without your eyes bleeding from the boredom. other than that, probably.......id say knights in the nightmare, i had alot of difficulty with it

Henry Hatsworth. It looks child friendly but it is difficult yet addictive. Easily one of teh most challenginf and rewarding games I've played.

Final Fantasy IV is another fairly difficult game as they reverted to the original japanese difficulty.

As BortzANATOR said, Contra 4 for sure, it's the hardest game on DS ever! Not kidding, beat it on easy without cheats... It's nearly impossible.

Mega Man zero collection is easy.
Granted, i've been playing mega man games for like 13 years.
But I mean, once you play through the game once...you're good enough to destroy it. The hardest part of any mega man game is going in blind, and MMZ loves to blindside you. Once that initial "holy shit" factor is gone, it's pretty simple.

SMT: Devil survivor is the hardest.
SMT: Strange Journey is second hardest.

I've never played a DS game that actually challenged me until those two.

Contra gets an honorable mention for being pretty darn difficult, but not impossibly hard.

+1 Contra 4
Megaman Zero collection is like taking candy from a baby when compared to Contra 4 (and contra in general)

+ 1 for the megamon zero collection I'm on the first game and can't get past the one in the factory with 8 bombs.

Agreed. >_> I never really got into that game because it just seemed ridiculously hard when I got to a certain point...

Most other DS games I've played are super easy to be honest, but that doesnt mean they aren't good games :/

Yeah, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor can be a real pain in the butt for people who haven't played turn based strategy games before.
That being said, in the beginning levels/stages there are usually some easy solutions and abilities/skills that really change the context of the game, but in later levels
if you haven't grinded enough then you may as well just turn on an exp multiplier x_x

I've played lots of turn based strategy games.
It's just that the only difficult one is Devil survivor. Turn based games have never been difficult, until i tried Devil Survivor.
Grinding is one solution, but if you're super good at the game you can get through the entire game without grinding.
Excluding fighting Lucifer. You NEED to grind to at least 80 to survive that fight.
