I miss the days when card makers used to make and patch their firmware.

Can someone eloborate me on the M3 hatred?
(I stopped the flash cards after the NDS Lite. I was fond of my M3 Perfect Lite and M3 Real though!)
It's hated because there is no longer any official support behind it, but before they dropped support for their flashcard, they released an horrible card known as the M3i Zero gmp z003.
The M3i Zero gmp z003 had new hardware that was made to lock out all unofficial kernels. So when the M3 team vanished, anyone with that card couldn't do anything with it. As well the card itself had some serious bugs they never fixed.
Pretty much the M3 team dropped support for their card on a very sour note and now people are upset by that.
