Well it happened. Nvidia just released Half-Life 2: Episode 2 at the Google Play Store. And you can only download it with a Shield Android TV Console (3rd Shield device, Half-Life 3 confirmed?). No Shield Portable and Shield Tablet, at least for now. I'm sure people from XDA will soon make it work on the Shield Tablet.
