How did you access orignal games ? Rgs.
simply.

use the ftp and go to us/share/games and there the 21 folders with CLV-P- are the orignal games.
be careful and test the games and make backups!!!

but the strange is that the original games only works as compress .gz ( with 7zip) files.
compress .7z works with the original games not.

and i found that Star FOx 1 +2, Yoshi Island and Contra 3 are working slower when compressed

Good to know. Not going to touch the original games, for gaining just a couple of extra MB's and run into all kind of slowdowns suddenly. Maybe Nintendo did some mambo jambo stuff to the original SNES Mini roms that aren't in the other SNES roms on the internet. Which results in slower/worse performing games when compressed with the original SNES Mini roms?

i see to me that Star FOx 1 +2, Yoshi Island and Contra 3 runing slower because that i let these uncompressed.
i can also be wrong with that.
its a difference of 3-4mb to not compressed it.

i had with 2.18 all original games compressed and i dont see a difference

Can someone explain to me why the space available goes from 300 MB to 245.2 MB when the classic is hooked up and ready to synchronize? Just for my own understanding.

I don't own it, yet. So can't tell you any of that. Do you have the SNES Mini version of it though? As you need a receiver that fits in the SNES Mini controller ports to have it work!

Yes, I own it. And it comes with a receiver. I'm just looking for direction on how to get the three-wide buttons to match the functions of the original Sega buttons. I know it can be done through RetroArch, but I don't want to mess anhthing up.

Note to all, if you use the Official 2010 SNES 9x that Cluster posted, you can use --retroarch at the end of a command line argument, to load into 9x. I will modify my Cores, accordingly, to work with the --retroarch command, as well. Expect them to be working within next update.

Example:

/bin/clover-canoe-shvc-wr -rom /usr/share/games/CLV-U-XFJBY/Rock_n__Roll_Racing_(USA).sfrom.7z --volume 100 -rollback-snapshot-period 600 --retroarch

DOes someone know the default rewind durations for the original 21 games?
In case anyone's interested: Most SNESC titles (17 out of 21 including A Link to the Past) are using "-rollback-snapshot-period 600" giving you between 40 and 50 seconds of rewind.
4 Games (EarthBound, Final Fantasy III, Secret of Mana and Super Mario RPG) are using "-rollback-snapshot-period 3600", giving you between 4 and 5 minutes of rewind.

The way this works is as follows: Canoe will take a snapshot every X frames (600 frames = 10 seconds). When activating the rewind feature the system will take the last full 4 snapshot plus however far you are in the current one. So if the last snapshot was 2 seconds ago, you will get 42 seconds of rewind, if it was 9 seconds ago you'll get 49 seconds (this is considering a period of 600 frames).

I just deleted games, uninstalled retroarch+modules, uninstalled hakchi2, reset console to default settings. Then i used hakchi 2.20 installing retroarch.

Now each time i run a retroarch game (they loads up and start) when i press a button in the gamepad (it doesn't matter which one) the game, after 2-3 seconds, exits to main menu just like i pressed the reset button.

It did that just with retroarch games not with canoe emulator.

Any hint? @Cluster ?
Check your retroarch settings for the reset button command.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a way to use borders and rewind feature when using SNES9X core?
I think there is a rewind feature in the retroarch settings. I've seen pictures of gb and nes games with borders, it just needs to be implemented for everyone.

Hmmm, just tried that, and I'm still with the same problem. The red power LED flashes every 13s, and it's just showing offline, not found :(
You went step by step in the guide? And installed all drivers and flashed the custom kernel?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

No, because I like the real gameplay demo! :)
You can turn off the user game play demo and leave the gameplay demo on.

If you must modify thumbnail's size of an original game, how do you make it to be loaded ? Thanks. Rgs.
nes, gba, gb games has here own file extension!
on it retroarch new what system that is.

only on snes games you need --retroarch that the system knew if you will start it with mini snes or retroarch emulation

    @BigOnYa,
I don't listen? What didn't I listen at? I just want to know all the possible risks on that part
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
Hayato even said it's dangerous to backup the save files to CFW
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
how is this dangerous? A ton of people did this it's the most common thing to do with CFW

    Then do it

    dude, whatever
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not trying to hate, I tried to help you in the switch noob thread by asking for you, but you don't want to accept the answers you got, so do whatever then.

@BigOnYa, Man, first of all thanks for your willing to help, much appreciated. But, it's not that I "don't want to listen", rather than I need soemone to EXPLAIN to me how and why all these are risky.

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
For example, HOW is is risky to get banned if you extract the save files to the CFW?
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
isn't this proccess be done while you're offline?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
We are not Nintendo, so we don't know exactly how/why/when they ban, but better to stay on the safe side and not do shady stuff, if you don't want to be banned. Hayato is one of the most knowledgeable ones here on the subject and I believe what he says.

    300 bucks hmmm lol
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Yes ofc we don't know how Nintendo bans work, but if there are situations where a lot of people have tried safely then we can at least assume that this path is pretty much safe. To say don't try anything homebrew relative just to be safe forever is the easiest thing to say to someone. What I am trying to figure out here is with which cases and what actions got most of the people their bans for.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
Most things I can find resulting to a ban is save-editing reasons, like Pokehex, etc, and going online afterwards.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm almost certain fucking Google fibers modems blocking out PPPoE signals
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Like the 6th time I had to reboot this router trying to get PPPoE active
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ken, your hamster inside it is hungry. Can't you turn POE on/off in your WiFi settings page? Or is it not staying on?

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Well, in that thread they say it's pretty much safe to manage save files back and forth to consoles as long as you don't go online with cheats activated or with a pirate game.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
I own every of my games legit with their own cartridges
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
also, I'm not planning to use any cheats, etc, just continue the normal gameplay on the emulator
