So those are the ones people have already converted to mappers that the NES Classic can use? I see that in the FAQ of this thread it says that those game's mappers can be used by the classic (UNRom, etc.)

Nice, other games I wanted to add had mapping issues, unfortunately none of them are in the list. Still thanks for the links Tootyuk. :)

No worries I think most folk are after the same ones hahahaha, Romhacking is a really resource, I have searched the internet for mapper hacks for other games but with no joy.
From my very basic understanding mapper hacks are not easy to do they are a manual process and so can take a long time.
The most efficient way I can see of getting some of these titles working would be to be able to "patch" the actual emulator that the NES mini runs, @Cluster I'm not even sure if that possible?
All of these mapper issues existed with the early versions of the all the emulators, so if you can get the emulator to read/understand the mapper it removes the need to patch it.

Hi,
1- Many thanks for your great program Cluster ! =)

2- I would like to play on mini nes at Crisis Force (japan) and Gradius II (Japan) but they don't work because the mappers (#23 for Crisis Force and #25 for Gradius 2) are not supported.

Is there an solution to run this game on mini nes ?

Thanks

These are only mappers people have created for those games, this does not mean that they will work on the Nes Mini, these are not "working mapper hacks for nes mini sadly"
I think the nes mini must be using an "old" emulator of sorts, @Cluster would probably know.

Those two games don't work even with patches, i've tried :(

Answer is simple: invalid header. Holy Diver has not four-screen mirroring actually.
I created MMC3 hack of Holy Diver but it has heave slowdowns. Do your MMC1 version working fine?

So far, the MMC1 version seems fine. No crashing or garbled text, but I only played for about 10 minutes and got as far as the first boss. It felt a little slow, but I don't know how the original game is supposed to feel/play. I wouldn't say the slowdown was 'heavy,' but maybe some will disagree. Would you like me to send you the one I'm using and you can compare? I would be interested in your expert opinion!

Reactions: Subtle Demise
Hello guys ! With hakchi2 v 2.0.10 and its news, is it possible that we can load less games ( 2 less games for example) ? The patches (30ko) on games already patched can they influence the loading of games? Thank you.

QQ: Is there a batch cover art option? Or do I have to select the box art for each game individually? I know the shift+f5 does batch info for all games, just wondering if there was an option for applying box art all at once for all games listed. No biggie if not, just wondering.

I got bio miracle bokutte upa nes to work. The FDS rom works, but I wanted the NES game. Have to use the No Intro romset with the mmc-5 hack then it works.

Is anyone able to help me with this install?

When I plug up and hit the sync button, I get nothing. In fact, I get a "cannot find file" box but it seems as if the NES is not being read, although the sound of something connecting happens after releasing reset.

I am very lost on this... And if there happens to be another post somewhere, I'll read through it, just need some direction....please

did you install usb drivers? is your device manager listing an 'nesmini' did you try the install via hakchi2 yet (via sync games)

  1. decent quality usb cable (like one from a samsung mobile phone or a ext hardrive kind they are good for transferring)
  2. try a diff usb 2 port and then try another..
  3. disable virus and some need really deep disabling as they have driver checking built-in which screws things like this sometimes probably hidden within the advance/settings
  4. if still not listed could be windows secure driver checking- thats another set of processes altogether to get your windows into a safe mode where you disable secure signature checking for drivers
  5. do the dump and then a kernal flash
