Has anyone tried homebrew games and hacks on this? I would assume they would work, but it would be great if someone could confirm.

Do you think that the Loopy's Super Mario Bros. 2 J MMC3 hack will work?

I'm not at home right now, but I hope to test as soon as I can

I can confirm this works.

I attempted to install 20 games in Canada and it did not work.

I booted the NES mini into Fel mode.
Then I installed the driver.
Upload selected games to NES mini.
Waiting for the NES mini to power off.
Then rebooted the NES mini and nothing.

I tried it several times.
The second time I tried it I had an error stating it was a unknown checksum. Perhaps its patched for Canada?

- Boot in Fel mode
- Install the driver
- DUMP the kernel
- Flash custom kernel
- Upload games
- Wait to the led to turn off
- Reboot the nes
- Profit

Hi All.

I cannot get past the driver installation step when trying to dump the Kernel (...?) so the program cannot detect the Mini NES. I follow the steps correctly, ensuring I hold down the RESET button when turning the Mini NES on.

I've attempted to install the driver via device manager but get a message indicating Windows found the driver but there was an error when trying to install...?

Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a way to install the Mini NES driver?

Using PAL Mini NES, Windows 7.

Was able to get this to work on my NES classic. But on Famicom mini after trying to dump the kernel recieved and error. and wasn't sure if its safe to continue mainly worried about losing the original games if the mod doesnt work.

I installed the driver using
Zadig

Go here:

http://linux-sunxi.org/FEL/USBBoot#Using_sunxi-fel_on_Windows and install driver with zadig.

Quick question, how long does it take before:
- the led to turn off?

That's pretty good. Is this your own work or are you re-posting it from another site?

Mine took about 10 to 15 seconds.
The led stays off when uploading games, then turns on when finishing the process and then when the pc says "finish" the led keeps on for about 10 to 15 seconds.

Tried using Zadig, but it failed to install the driver as well...? - However, thanks for the suggestion.

Any other ideas on how I can install the driver or what may be preventing me from doing so...?

a. Turn off all firewalls, anti-virus, etc
b. Try running the haxchi2 as administrator.
c. If above don't work run Zadig as administrator.

Mine is going through all the demo and games. Its been over 20 minutes each time.

So I assume mine is not patchable.....yet.

But the nes doesnt exit the Fel mode by itself. When dumping, flashing, etc., the screen remains off. When i manualy restart the nes the screen turns on.

Are you sure that your nes is in fel mode?

I am in fel mode. Reset and Power held for a few seconds on boot. Then I am able to do the rest but
once my haxchi2 says wait for LED to power off, the NES comes back on by itself and then I think it only shuts off when it goes into power save mode....hence why I am waiting so long.

I do have a different checksum and I emailed it to clusterrr

I would like a Predator game "Kill Team" it takes place in the Jungle of the first movie, your team is sent to hunt the predator, using current tech drones and a trained team. Set traps use strategy to hunt and trap or kill the predator.

I went today and looked at a motorcycle someone was selling. I get there and the battery on it was dead, so the guy grabbed a battery charger and hooked it up. He plugged it into the wall, and the motorcycle sparked and started smoking. Come to find out the bike uses a 6 volt battery and the guy had the charger set to 12v. I said sorry to the dude and walked away. I felt bad for him tho.
