Well, I just got the Japanese ROM from emuparadise and then applied the translation patch from ROMhacking.net.

Thanks for the heads up ^

Any chance you know what version of the patch? I see a 1.4 I believe was the latest. Also, use something like LunarIPS? I will give it a shot now, thank you. Hopefully I can sort it out as I got Holy Diver and Splatterhouse working, thanks!

Yes, ViceTranslations one, LunarIPS. Did you get the rest of the instructions that were given to me?

Hmm, I just tried extracting the zip, applying the Vice patch and then making it back into a zip. I got the error that mapper 23 is not supported when adding it back and just launched it with no success. I still have the c6 error.

That translation is not complete, i just played it, and some parts are not translated.

Mad-Mega any clue what the ideal way to play it would be off the Classic? Also, I grabbed the Japanese rom and used LunarIPS to apply the patch...I still get the C6 error and cant figure out why after doing all the steps correct as far as I know.

Last thing, should I be installing the NES core? I am staying with just NES, Famicom and FDS on the NES Classic I am using now...I was not sure if that is truly better than using the stock NES emulator? Thanks for any help from you and anyone else getting this to work.

Well, I didn't zip it back, I just added the ROM as is. Also, use this line on hackhi2: --retroarch --core fceumm
That set up works for me. I don't know if it's fully translated or not, it does say it is.

Thank you for the quick response and I will try out what you told me. Also, I read someone saying that Double Dragon 2 for instance sounds terrible off the stock NES emulator that Nintendo provided compared to say the fceumm core , Nestopia etc.....anyone know if this is true? I would love to know what the best way is to be running these games and if there are other instances where the stock NES emulator does not do so well. Thanks again!

I could be wrong but I do not believe that is possible. You would need to use a pc.

Thank you.

I will need to ask someone who can answer the question.. If someone say you are correct then I will accept and use a pc. :)

Anyway... How to deleting the games from the NES Classic Mini (Edition) itself on TV Screen, not from PC.

No problem and you are welcome. If it was possible I believe there would be a option on the interface. As far as I know that is not implemented or else you would see a prompt to delete a game. The only way I ever heard of deleting a game is through the hackchi2 program by right clicking and deleting from the list.

Yeah, I read about it and I am not sure. You mean use NES Classic and USB plug to the computer and delete it through the hackchi2 program in NES CLASSIC MINI (EDITION) ?

Correct. Load up your hackchi2 that you used to flash the games over. On the list of games left click on the game you want to delete so it turns blue and you are 100% on it....hover over that exact game, right click and choose delete game. It will ask you if you are sure and show the game name you are about to delete, click yes or no.

I could be wrong but I believe you would need the actual hakchi2 install they used in order to load up your games and delete them. I am trying to think how else would a fresh copy of the program know what you have installed...It may be worth looking into just loading up a new install of hakchi2 and learning how to reflash your system to stock and starting over in order to pick and choose your own titles...this way if you ever want to delete or add on you have the original hakchi2 folder to load up. Others may know a lot more and can help.

I just insert mine, without any command lines, this is my standard command line "--guest-overscan-dimensions 0,0,9,3 --initial-fadein-durations 10,2 --volume 75 --enable-armet" i haven't add or altered anything, it just accepted it, and it plays just fine :-)
Did you install RetroArch ?

I am trying this off a fresh install actually. I have not installed any other modules as I was not sure if it's best to stick with the stock NES emulator or go with the other ones. I was curious which one was actually superior as I mentioned above...about reading that the stock NES emulator that Nintendo provided was not as good. Curious if this is true and I should install RA and the other NES cores.

The stock emulator emulates everything it can, if some game cannot be emulated than one of the others take over, it is all automatically.
The stock emulator emulates good but doesn't have a big mapper support, you can try and change all the games to another emulator but in the end, it is still just the same game.
Just install RA with all the cores you need, you will thank me later...it just emulates the games that don't work with the stock emulator...
