I'm sorry, is what your talking about a method to free up more space without removing games? This NES modding is my first time playing around with all of this stuff.

Also, is there a original version of the NES stored somewhere on the hard drive? Yesterday I connected the NES to my laptop while the HDMI cable was still plugged in. I interrupted a game he was playing and instead of the screen going black and displaying "hakchi" it went to the main menu and it was the original menu with all the original games. I thought i had lost my upload. I reset the NES and it reverted back to the modified format. I thought it was weird that it was still on there. If it indeed is, removing it could also free up some space right?
Don't upload games or mods while playing a game. Make sure you exit out of the game and are back to the home screen. Otherwise It will error. And he's talking about when you fill up your mini and it says what's taking up space if you try to sync with to other many games. it's full and shows what's taking up spaces and he wants to somehow delete "the other files". And see what happens.

I see, well I would be interested to see what happens when you delete "other files" because I want to add a few more games.

I wonder if anyone has successfully upgraded the memory?

What "other files" are you talking about?

I'm not sure. A couple posts up someone was talking about what he was referring to as "other files" and that they used a lot of space. He was asking about how to delete them.

I also wonder, can we delete "demo mode" to free up space or anything else?

Also, I very rarely use the save progress feature. Especially since it doesn't even work for me with fba, cps2 and mame games. So I would rather have access to that space than keep it designated for saved progress.

It doesn't look as if it could actually read the real stats from your nes. Because if it were able, it wouldn't be showing 300MB, it would show the excact size. So I'm guessing the usb passthrough to your virtual machine isn't working. That would also explain why it believes 0 Bytes available.

not a mac problem i had this on windows 10.. i just tried diff compatibilty modes on the exe uninstalled everything and reinstalled mods and games and tried another port and it started to behave ? not sure which one fixed it though
Ya that's weird. I always turn windows defender off whenever I touch hakchi so I usually don't have issues

yeah actually anti virus apps are wierd also i think i have mine off just in case(inside is has a usb driver malware checker type thing ruins things )

Just use a great third party firewall..no need for resource hogging anti-virus nowadays..

And as long as you know what your downloading and from where...
