I'd really like to update to this new version but the auto-updater and the standalone installer both report that I have no suitable or vulnerable IOS available. Strangest thing... the old installer (HackMii 0.6) works just fine. Any ideas?

Just a quick question. Iv'e never thought of it before.

I can install Bootmii as Boot2, but should I install it as an IOS too?
The new installer always installs it as IOS
But you should anyway

readmeNOTE: The HackMii Installer will automatically install BootMii as IOS upon startup. Starting with v0.7 it relies on it and there is no way to prevent this step. If you don't want to have BootMii as IOS installed, you can uninstall it after e.g. installing The Homebrew Channel. When doing so, the HackMii Installer will automatically exit, because it can't (un)install anything anymore without it.

Don't know what you mean by "what do you have installed," (system menu 4.2, btw) but the 0.6 installer says it's using IOS 34 for the installer, 61 for HBC, and 36 for DVDX (which I don't have installed at all). BootMii is currently installed as an IOS as my wii doesn't support a boot2 install.

Updated yesterday already...I kinda miss the old look, but I guess it won't be long until I like the new one. HW_AHBPROT is a damn nice feature, I guess DOP-Mii will soon use this (or at least I hope so), but I dunno if WiiMC could gain USB 2.0 with it (I guess it can't, but I'm a noob, so I'm probably wrong)...

Any patch can be applied to the currently running IOS, however if IOS is reloaded, HW_AHBPROT is lost, meaning you'd have to use whatever IOS HBC is using (often IOS61 AFAIK). So yeah, USB2.0 patch could be applied, as could any other patches in IOS202.

Thanks TT!

Does cBoot2 still work with the new Bootmii version?
Haven't tried, but I can't see why it wouldn't. They're raw ARM- and PPC-binaries loaded onto Starlet and Hollywood upon boot. Only way it wouldn't work were to be if bootmii specifically checked for, and blocked, those particular binaries. That check-up code would probably be larger than bootmii itself ...

hello a noob question...

What do i need to Install the HBC only and nothing else? do i still need the BootMii? all i need is the HBC i dont want to use any USB loaders it will just force me to pirate things =)

can anyone teach me how to install homebrew channel only?

HackMii 0.7 only installs HBC and BootMii. DVDX is dead. Just pick install HBC in the installer, and you're done.

Its described in the readme of the HackMii installer.
And no, you don't need BootMii.
on the contrary

HackMii Installer Changelog
QUOTEGeneral overhaul: the installer now requires BootMii/IOS to function. It will automatically be installed upon startup – either if BootMii/IOS is not installed or if it is older than the version this release comes with.

I have a problem with the new BootMii. I set the bootmii.ini file to have a delay of 0, but this leaves the Wii in a seemingly frozen state on boot up. The workaround was to set it to 1. Is this a known issue?

thats a dumb workaround, how about naming the "bootmii" folder something else, like "~bootmii"

Using old ppc & arm executables thus effectively using old bootmii?

So, if i update to this will it fix this issue. http://bugs.hackmii.com/index.php?do=details&task_id=240
this is the problem I have with homebrew channel Comment by sayargh:I noticed something similar to this, if you try to load a homebrew app while the Icon in the bottom right corner is blinking, i'll always get a black screen, but if I wait till it stops blinking, it NEVER crashes, not even once.

I have same problem like sayargh and sometimes homebew channel won't detect the network any fix for this?I have homebrew channel 1.0.6 IOS36 v4.18.

Just installed the update..
HBC channel now will not display my Apps on my USB hard drive. Drive is still working as for CFG USB loader is displaying my *.wbfs file from the Fat32 partition.

Update:
I way playing some more Seems that when I try to return to system menu with no SD card in or with an SD card with no apps folder HBC reboots to the apps menu displaying my USB apps

Help anyone?

And I'm sure it here somewhere but Priloader wont launch HBC is there an update to that as well?
