I have update my wii to 4.3 for waninkoko updater, but this new instalaer hackmii have error in screen, said: this installer can not continue, there is no usable or vulnerable ios installed on this wii...etc

It's because wanin updater patches every single ios file.
Hackmii installer needs an untouched ios file to use.

I would just use Dop Mii or Dop ios and install some normal ios files and then try the installer again.
I would make ios36,38, and 61 normal and then try again.
The problem is that DopMii won't let us install those IOS because they're newer versions than the ones we are installing.

Then just use NUSD and download the latest versions as wad files and install them with wad manager and then run the installer.
NUSD can be found on wiibrew.org
It worked now. Thanks!

Thanks to the team for this update.

Anyone else notice -

1. My Wii gets stuck on black screen now during startup if I have autoboot system menu enabled and delay set to 0.
I liked this setup, I didnt see bootmii. Now I have to set it to a delay of 1 for it to boot. Not a big problem or anything but I just wondered if I have fuc*ed something up when I updated or if this is normal. I cannot seem to get around this. (bootmii as boot2)

2. Is it just me or does the homebrew channel no longer show up in the system menu log thing. Like its running in stealth mode, very impressed if this is an improvement of the update.

If we already had the hbc and bootmii installed and then updated to v0.7, can we simply update to 4.3 directly from the wii settings and then reinstall bootmii via bannerbomb? I'm just confused about the entire virgin 4.3 vs non-virgin 4.3 thing.

Bannerbomb does not work in 4.3.

Why update to 4.3? It does not bring new feature at all.

But if you must,
Update Homebrew channel to 1.0.7
Update to 4.3 via Wii settings.
Then launch Hackmii installer in Homebrew to reinstall bootmii and homebrew channel.

Also if you update to 4.3 after installing the new HBC you will need to reinstall your cios files as they will be replaced with stubs.

so whats the official word on dvdx? is it integrated into bootmii or just missing? is the old DVDx meant to remain or be removed?

It's really nice a clean design, the only problem will be change all my icons based in a clear background

I wonder if they changed something in the way Bootmii dumps nands, since I can't extract my new NAND dump in Windows 7 with Showmiiwads(it just crashes as soon as it starts extracting it).

it worked for me using windows 7 32 bit

I used showmiiwads to extract bootmii dump and then after that i changed the nand backup path to the new folder
that it created called nand extracteda and it loaded it up just fine.

Can't tell what the new ID of the HBC is because its just some symbols.
I'm not sure if the symbols are the new ID or if the new ID is hidden somehow now and the symbols are the cover up.

Guess it's some 64 bit issue if it's not because of the new bootmii.

I used showmiiwads 64 bit to extract bootmii beta5 (latest one) dump and then after that i changed the nand backup path to the new folder
that it created called nand extracteda and it loaded it up just fine.

Wrong, all current cIOS files (except for IOS249) have a higher version than the stub files from Nintendo thus only IOS249 will be stubbed.

hey guys
I just got done installing new bootmii and HBC. I tried to do a backup and bootmii freezes a few lines after starting. Anyone got any ideas?

It worked fine for me using bootmii as boot2 making a backup.
Try it again or reformat your sd card and then try again or use a different sd card all together.

Yes it is safe, but if you're using IOS249, you have to reinstall it.
