A quick question what is the difference between GW3DS Red card and a normal flashcart?? (internal)

The red cart allows the playing of 3DS ROMs on a firmware version of 4.1 to 4.5. The blue cart is basically an R4 clone that plays Nintendo DS roms on the 3DS Firmware 6.2.x.

do i need to setup the blue card everytime i off my 3ds to play roms ?

Once you've ran the GW installer once on your 3DS you don't need to set-up the blue card. The only time you have to run the installer with the blue card/any ds flashcart again is when you go into DS mode again. (Play DS roms, or homebrew.) If you turn your 3DS off you just have to clicked Settings->Other Settings->Profile->Nintendo DS Profile. That'll put you in Gateway mode in which the red card will function.

Hey i am on about what inside it makes it play 3ds roms which the normal flashcarts dont have?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the blue card only works on 3DS firmware until 6.1.

Okay one more thing.
After installing the Blue Card, what if I use my r4i Gold to play some DS games? That would mean I would need to reinsert the Blue Card again and reinstall for GW3DS to work?

Put the Gateway installer on your R4i Gold and launch it every time you're done using DS mode, you don't need to use the blue card to install it if you use your R4i regularly.
