Does installing game updates also does this? (through the update prompt)

No just dlc installed via cia installer. So say i install dlc from a website onto my 3ds via FBI. If i accessed the eshop it would go away and i would need to install it again(unless they have fixed this problem already and i am unaware of it)

You're trying to get translated IK dlc right? No. If you can't install it in the first place, then there's no way NTR would make it work.

It doesn't matter if you're coldbooting into Gateway or Reinand, as they use the same Emunand.

No he's trying to use modified DLC, which doesn't work with Gateway.

I just told you, Reinand and Gateway use the same Emunand.....

It doesn't matter which coldboot you have, they both boot into the same Emunand.................

Because you're coldbooting into Reinand.....

Clearly you don't know anything about this. Gateway doesn't work with modified DLC, so english IK won't install (or you can't play it on gateway either).

I just said that Gateway doesn't work with the DLC.

Unless you know what you're doing, there's no way you'll ever make the english IK DLC work with Gateway.

Also, I just told you this. You can't boot into Reinand from Gateway Classic because you're already booting into Emunand.

If you don't understand why, then you need to read up on CFWs are.

Most likely no, they're two different things you install.
