Gaming guitar heros & rock bands question

hi.
i have question about guitar hero series and rock band 1 & 2.
which of these games guitar hero 3 , 4 , smash hits , metallica , ..... and rock band 1 , 2 ) could play without guitar??

I think that the guitar hero games work without a guitar attachment but I am not sure about Rockband. In guitar hero: world tour, you also have a mode similar to the wii music drums where you flail around with your arms to make noise.

if you mean, just for singing, then

both rock band games work without instruments

guitar hero greatests hits / smash hits (same game different region) and guitar hero world tour work with just a microphone too. earlier guitar hero games need an instrument

You can play GH3 with only a wiimote. No nunchuck or microphone.
You can do singing in and rockband or GH game after GH3.

Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero Aerosmith: Can play Guitar with Remote. Nothing else.
Guitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero Metallica, Guitar Hero Smash Hits: Can not play any instrument, without having the actual instrument.
Rock Band 1, 2, Track Pack 1, 2, AC/DC etc etc: Can not play any instrument without having the actual instrument.


If you want to play guitar with just using the wiimote, all you have is GH3 and GH: Aerosmith.
If you have an USB microphone (any will do) you can play the vocals on all of the above mentioned games and nothing else. They do not support playing guitar using just the remote.
