Hey,
I have just got a Kiosk unit for 100€ :D
The console itself runs fine and plays the intro video. Just one USB plug is broken.

It also looks like someone tried to steal the gamepad and Wiimotes. One Wiimote is missing, the gamepad's cable is cut and the wiring between the controller board and the console is missing.

Any idea how to fix this?

Here you can see the broken plug being highlighted:

What's the corresponding USB port of the Wii U? The broken one or any?
And is the connector on the right relevant?

I guess I should open up the gamepad..

As you can see the GamePad's cable is missing :(

the usb connector can be bought on most electronic component shops, and can be replacesed by a mechanic, for all the rest: you could bring it to nintendo frankfurth at least i thought there's a nintendo company there.
with all that damage, i don't wanna try to help further.

@Sicklyboy, how bad is it to buy a refurbished ups
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@K3Nv3, not bad at all, just make sure it comes with new batteries or else you'll have to put new ones in it yourself (not hard)

UPS in my server rack is a 20 year old APC rackmount unit that I bought off ebay and threw like $60 of Amazon batteries in lol, fucker's mint

    CyberPower is probably glued in
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Doubt it, I had a tiny cheap cyberpower one a few years ago and that one wasn't

Waiting for the NUC 14 essential to become available here 🤔
  • Issac @ Issac:
What's the best NUC to get as a first NUC, as a NUC noob. I want one that I can have always on - run a monitoring server and some home automation stuff - as well as possibly doing some devving by connecting to it through SSH
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
You honestly don't really need anything that powerful for that imo an old 2010 laptop could do it
  • Minox @ Minox:
@Issac I'd argue the NUC 14 essential is a good compromise for speed, price and low power usage
  • Issac @ Issac:
mhmm, mhmm... Most important for me, in that case, would be silent, power efficient, and form factor.
  • Minox @ Minox:
That's at least why I want to get it
  • Issac @ Issac:
    Oh nice @Minox
  • Minox @ Minox:
2000~3500 sek depending on what model you want
  • Minox @ Minox:
Only needs RAM + SSD on top of that
