I got an assignment and I wanted some of your opinions and knowledge concerning the following google programs (online and offline)
The information should be about
What type of information do you surrender to Google when using each of the above?
In what types of enterprise and which business situations might each of the above be particularly
useful or beneficial?

The applications are as follows
Installation of Google Desktop and Google Toolbar
Google Chrome
Gmail
Google Apps
Google AdWords

Dont write too much to be burdened like an essay as i wish for opinions mainly. If u can, please do so.
I have not used many of them like Apps so whoever has experience can help.
Thanks

Hehe i see what u mean but actually i have most of the data sources i need but due to laziness, i decided instead of digging for info let some experienced ppl tell me so. I mainly wish for the second part of the question about where it can be used since that's an opinion while the first one is quite obvious.
By the way, the second question says what businesses does this help in. Now if one can tell me exactly a business type that a browser would be useful for. I cant think of specifics for some questions ie the first 3

I think what I will do instead of giving you my opinion, is give you a quick run down of what each thing does, hopefully that helps:

1. Desktop is similar to Windows search function, but allows you to search both the local machine and web, Toolbar is...well a toolbar for a web browser other than chrome, basically quick links to commonly used Google features

2. Chrome is a web browser

3. Email

4. Shortcuts that link you to Gmail, calendar, docs, and I think one more Google service, but can't remember

5. Allows businesses to post customized advertisements shown for a Google search.

I hope you can decide for yourself what each of these services ask for and help users of each service achieve, otherwise, hate to say this, but I don't think you are in the right class.

Well I'm not sure about Desktop, but I know that every time you use Google search, Google will log what you search. As for Email I dont believe they're allowed to scan your email. Shortcuts will be shortcuts to more services and anything you search within those are logged. After all this logging, Google uses that information to make more targeted ads towards that particular computer. So if you're looking at antivirus programs, you may get Kaspersky or BitDefender ads. (At least I did)
