Months later than we initially expected, Google finally took the wraps off the next version of its Android operating system at an event on Wednesday in San Francisco. The barely changed Android 4.3 isn't the giant leap we expected, but it is noteworthy for a few reasons, including Multi-User Restricted Profiles, Bluetooth Smart technology, and greater graphics capabilities thanks to Open GL ES 3.0 support.

Thats great news for emulation and even greater for Dolphin!!

I have a HTC One that it support OPENGL 3. But I will buy Shield cuz it has Tegra 4 which doesn't support OPENGL ES 3 cuz it supports Full OpenGL like in PC development. Also it has real controls.

Too bad nothing will be developed with it for open gl 3.0 because things are still developed for the majority (android 2.2). Can't blame the developers, this is due to androids wide selection of hardware. Perhaps if Google demanded all new phones be made at 4.3 spec, this would maybe be considerable in the next 1-2 years....

I have the Galaxy Ace II x. It's still running Ice Cream Sandwich. So I can't even get 4.1 let alone 4.2. .__.'

I have a nexus 4 so I assume I'll be seeing this update sooner rather than later.
All and all it seems to be a update to hold people over till 5.0 or Key lime pie as I believe its codenamed.

My HTC Glacier's running 4.2 atm. Not too many changes, but I"ll flash 4.3 on it if I'm bored one day.

Yes I have the new one. But I don't like to play on it, I don't like to play with touch controls at all. Thats why I'm getting the NVIDIA Shield

Do you need a device with Open GL 3.0 support? Or just to use those features? If you do then this seems really limited.
