Thats great news for emulation and even greater for Dolphin!!
Woohoo. STILL NOT gonna be supported on my phone.
Curse you HTC
As long as it still has somewhat of a dev community, it should be coming to you soon . Just look at the Galaxy Player Forums on XDA, for example. They're just barely catching up.
I have a HTC One that it support OPENGL 3. But I will buy Shield cuz it has Tegra 4 which doesn't support OPENGL ES 3 cuz it supports Full OpenGL like in PC development. Also it has real controls.
Too bad nothing will be developed with it for open gl 3.0 because things are still developed for the majority (android 2.2). Can't blame the developers, this is due to androids wide selection of hardware. Perhaps if Google demanded all new phones be made at 4.3 spec, this would maybe be considerable in the next 1-2 years....
The new HTC One? I have it too ^^
Phone for the next 3-4 years (at last for me), is a good one.
I have the Galaxy Ace II x. It's still running Ice Cream Sandwich. So I can't even get 4.1 let alone 4.2. .__.'
This news is sure to tickle all the fandroids right in the Jelly Bean-bag.
No custom roms? even my gio(shitty device, luckly i'm gonna get a Iocean x7(quadcore 1080p phone) for $220 soon ) runs 4.2.2 xP
I have a nexus 4 so I assume I'll be seeing this update sooner rather than later.
All and all it seems to be a update to hold people over till 5.0 or Key lime pie as I believe its codenamed.
My HTC Glacier's running 4.2 atm. Not too many changes, but I"ll flash 4.3 on it if I'm bored one day.
Yes I have the new one. But I don't like to play on it, I don't like to play with touch controls at all. Thats why I'm getting the NVIDIA Shield
Nope, not even a custom rom.
Forget about PS4, now it is OUYA time
This is why I love my Nexus 10... Pure Android
Do you need a device with Open GL 3.0 support? Or just to use those features? If you do then this seems really limited.
OpenGL ES 3.0 won't give 300% performance boosts and I can't honestly see why they guys behind the Dolphin port trust so much in it.
Now the real question... did their optimizations cause the system requirements to jump up again? :/
Or you could just get a ps3 controller and a gameklip
I'd get one too, if it wasn't for the 3-4 weeks of shipping time :/
