And if we do find life, even if not multicellular, it could potentially lead to huge changes on earth

PCR tech comes from repurposing the DNA polymerase of bacteria living in extreme environments - imagine what cool new enzymes we would find in a bacterium living on a moon

Also, it would have huge implications for science/origins of life/panspermia if we could prove it was related to life on earth

Not to mention other neato things we have gotten from single cell organisms in the past like Penicillin

All in all exciting times

(Of course we would have to worry about 1. Earth organisms becoming invasive on Europa and 2. Europa organisms becoming invasive on Earth - so extra caution should be exercised)
