Hacking Golden Sun 2 retroarch

Hello. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask - I barely post on these forums. Running gpsp on retroarch causes Golden Sun 2 to soft reset and vba-next is kind of slow. Is there a way to fix GS2 on gpsp?

mGBA has some frame dips even with 500mhz overclock. It works at least. Kind of.

seems it's a known issue, no solution yet.

for GS2 on vita, the best exp is using tempgba in adrenaline.
