Make sure you got enough free space on your SD card. The final CIA output for Omega Ruby is about 2 GB and Ultra Sun is 3.6-ish GB.
Sorry for such an ignorant question! I didn't even realize that the sd card being full was even a concern; I figured 16gb was plenty when I originally bought the card. It's hard to believe how far we've come when it comes to memory, that used to be so much space!
Would you happen to know why it would keep failing despite having ample room for it? i tried it before and didnt have the room so it failed near the end, fast forward a week i use imaging software to backup and restore my files on my new sd card, everything works fine, but when i tried to build it from cia again it failed instantly, it also cant verify it now? verification also fails, im findind nothing on why its doing this...
uhp never mind i got it working, it was a problem with a corrupt bin file from the restore that the system image failed to mention.
Could you tell me how you managed to fix this problem? I have the same situation. I have .3ds files that work on Citra but I can't seem to use any way to convert it to .cia and actually work on my 3DS when installing it.

Check if your SD card is fake, faulty, or dying.
- Copy everything off the SD card to a computer.
- Quadruple reformat.
- Full Write + Verify the empty card in H2testw. Do not skip.
