This seems to be a remake. The DS version you're talking about, was an entire new game, just featuring Giana Sisters.

as with previous problems, i did nothing different and the problem is not with the way i am posting.

you should contact costello if you insist on using the older portal. based on the quote above i don't think there will be any compatibility fixes for it.
