When I posted the news that this was heading to the DS it seemed like a lot of people were interested. While I'd hardly call the original C64/Amiga versions classic, this new version looks like the developers have improved it a lot.

Just checked a few retail places and its not listed anywhere to buy at all. Gamefaqs say its out here in June but you know what they're like.

Will see if its in UK shops later.

this was my mario brothers growing up
i like the original homebrew great Giana Sisters thats out

i hope the remake keeps the original music and the difficulty i.e the level with the two doors on top of each other where i would lose all my lives to see what the top door had

Played the LIVING HELL out of it on the Amiga.
Can't wait. Would've preferred a strict graphic/music port, but I'm sure I'll still love it.
Gonna try the emulator version in the meantime, tho I preferred it one the Ami over the 64.

Hell, I'm just glad I can play it again in any version, freakin' loved that game!

I didn't see it when I went to the store today for buying my DSi, would have bought it for sure. I have so many great memories with the C64 version of it.

German magazine Gamepro says, it's definitely not as good as NSMB but on par with other Jump 'n Runs. According to them it's not very dynamic and lacks variety. Got only 68 %, however, they say fans should make sure to give it a try.
