I've spent the last couple of weeks watching Studio Ghibli films. Not all of them, but a fair number.
Just watched Grave of the Fireflies...

What a coincidence, I watched that for the first time today also. And yes, even though I'm a cynical and bitter old git it had me filling up too. I must be going soft.

I've got Nausicaa Valley of the Wind sitting here for months now.... It's always hard to start watching a Ghibli movie. It's a mix of "Goddamnit, this is so good I want to tear my hair out" and "Fuck, I have to cry so hard I want to bang my head against the wall"....

I think I'm ready to watch now.....

*sigh*

I love Ghibli-movies as well and a few days ago I watched Toy Story 3 (which I recommend -fabulous movie) and there was a nice Ghibli-cameo in it, which I found quite nice and also shows Pixars appreciation to Ghiblis creations
