Hacking Getting DS Doom running?

It's working fine for me. G6Lite with 4.6c FW on a DS Lite and all files transfered via Explorer.

I have another question, though. Is it possible to use mods with this Doom port? nxDoom on the Dreamcast, which aside from the 32X version is the only other Doom I've ever played has a mod selector menu that allows you to play any mod you want or the original Doom. From what I can tell, DS Doom doens't have a mod menu like that, but it should still be able to run individual mods, I just don't know how to do it. I assume it's something in the config file, and probably the FILES section, but I don't know what to do exactly. Anyone know?

Hey guys, does this version support saves/save staes? I haven't put this particular version on my g6l yet (still running the old shareware), but if it supports saving I'm so sold. Can anybody answer this?
 
Hey everyone,

I am in the same boat as Destrucobot, I have updated everything 4.6c, have the doom files in the root directory (prboom.wad, doom.wad, prboom.cfg) and have tried installing doom.nds via the G6 Manager and directly copying it to the root directory. I still get the freeze on "Survived graphics init".

I have tried the ScummVM DS that was posted in the same thread and it works perfectly.

There must be some unknown variable that seems to be making a HUGE difference on if these will run or not.
