I was about to say something in the lines of "come on, guys...uplay isn't so bad. It's just an alternative to steam" (I never had anything weird happen to my savegames)...but then it took me two attempts to start uplay (it's on my pc...no idea why it didn't budge the first time), and when I attempted to claim the game it redirected me to a page that was all in French. Not too strange since lots of sites assume all Belgians are French, but there was just no way to change it.

Still...a free game is a free game. And sands of time is an absolute classic.

I wish uplay deleted saves randomly. It'd make more sense.

So the next game will be Splinter Cell. I'm not too hyped about that one compared to Prince of Persia SoT. Funny how this made me discover that I had already made a Uplay account, but to my dismay the only game I had was the Child of Light Demo...

Two days back the free game giveaway has been updated, and it indeed is Splinter Cell.

I wasn't too excited about Splinter Cell since I bought it really cheap some years back but when I tried playing it, it just didn't feel as good as I remembered. I would say it's a game that hasn't aged well. I haven't tried Prince of Persia yet, but before getting it for free now I was thinking about playing it on my XBOX. Anyways, I'm looking forward to what the next game is, and there really isn't a reason to complain for getting a free game.

Btw, I appreciate that you're updating this thread with what the new game is

Edit: I had to check if I had bought Legends as well, and I had. So this means I won't be hoping for that next either... I guess FarCry 2 or (dare I say) 4 would be nice, though 4 would be stretching it.

FC2 would also be nice. But if a game like origins would be on offer, FC3 could even be possible (tho I have that...), 4 would definitely be a no no.
Maybe Assassin's Creed 1, Revelations? Would be nice.

Yeah, I would've said FC3 if I hadn't already bought that. Actually, I looked at games published by Ubisoft on Steam and the games I would like are:
- Heroes of Might and Magic V with all expansions (I actually own it but lost it)
- Rainbow Six Vegas 2
- Call of Juarez (any of them)
- Any Heroes game (maybe VI or a complete pack of the classics 1-4)
- From Dust
- Beyond Good and Evil
- Anno 1404 Gold
- FC3 Blood Dragon
- Child of Light
- Grandia 2 (published int. by Ubisoft)
- Another Prince of Persia game

For other people I would hope for Dark Messiah of Might and Magic since it's a great game imo.

Oh, yeah, I don't like Assassin's Creed.

The Crew?! Man that's actually really good considering it's kinda new and being a AAA title. I might actually play this.

That would make sense since they have made an HD version and that a new game in the series is coming out... I just hope they're giving us the HD remake...

I doubt it will be the HD version. It was never released on pc, only on consoles. Can't see ubisoft porting the hd version to pc, just to release for free. Will probably just be the normal 2003 pc release. Before anyone jumps in with "pc version is hd anyway", the HD console release updated a lot of stuff (like a proper 16:9 ui), 2003 pc release is a bit of mess still & requires lots of tweaking.

So, maybe this is old news, but this month's game is actually FarCry 3 Blood Dragon  I'm really curious to see what the next and last game is gonna be...
