I still see nothing that says he has stepped down from the PS3, please, correct me if I am wrong, but nothing there says anything about PS3. Been as he stepped down from the iPhone scene, people automatically assumed that he did the same for the PS3 aswell, many sites are reporting this but I have yet to see any actual evidence that he is, sure his blog has gone private and invite only, so what? Considering the amount of douche bags that constantly spam 'Release date' 'Gimme hax' and stuff would make me do the same thing. Until I hear anything otherwise, I will assume that he is still working on something.

Never said I could & not sure what you mean by the last part. But yeah... oh gee!!! He was the one to hack the iPhone! Big friggin' deal. What I'm saying is that people have hacked far bigger and better things.
Prove to me that his PS3 cfw wasn't a publicity stunt and I may reconsider my thoughts on him.

I remember reading a blog a some time ago saying GeoHot was once part iPhone Dev-Team before, got kicked off for being stupid, and used all that he had from them to make his "own" stuff. No idea how true or how old that is.

Whether that's true or not has no bearing on whether what he's asking is true or not.
Furthermore he never claimed that geohot had a PS3 hack, whereas Lilsypha directly made claims that chao1212 is asking for proof of.

He's asking lilsypha for proof (as was I) of her statement.


Twiffles, the first link does not state the geohot stole anything. In fact it starts with "We’ve found he had come up with two pretty neat ideas, one more pragmatic than the other for the iPhone.", which says "He's doing two neat things we didn't", and then goes on to show how they're not the best method... but they are not stolen, and he's not a part of the team here. In fact, the reason they were able to look at the code was because he open-sourced it. The second link says "actually worked with us", which implies a short-lived agreement (and doesn't mention him doing anything more permanent like joining the team), and it talks of him doing something immature, however it says he was holding one of their hacks ransom, not that he stole it and used it.

Neither of those links prove what was stated, at all.

Did you even read that wiki page you linked to? It states right there that he did.
WikipediaOn July 10, 2010, Hotz published that he had been able to jailbreak an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0. As evidence, he provided a picture of the device executing Cydia. This post has since been edited and blocked from public view, in which Hotz stated that the picture was "quite obviously fake", adressing himself to "the haters".

1 - He made an announcement on HIS OWN BLOGS and then cut off access to them. That's about the smallest announcement you can make. It's everybody else other than him that's reporting all this stuff. Do you think he's the one going around making all these news articles? It's the sites and people that own them that are reporting about him of their own free will.

2 - Hacking the devices takes a lot of time and energy, and he gets payed nothing to do it. Furthermore everybody and their grandma bitches at him for one reason or another (saying they want more hacks or saying they don't want him to hack shit), so he gave up because it wasn't worth it. It's a lot of hard work, he got payed nothing, and the public constantly bitched at him for one reason or another, generally that's going to cause a person to quit!
