of course, hard codecs are too hard to try getting the wiis lack of power to decode, allot of these hard codec video files will not be playable till they are changed to low res, but that takes hard implementations and testing, as it can break other areas of code. If you want high end HD playback, i wouldn't set your sights on the wii, it's just not capable.
