Okay, apologies if this has been asked before. I believe that if you run a disc through Gecko OS it stops the Wii updating from that disc. I haven't got a modchip, nor do I want one, but I do have firmware 3.2e on my Wii and want to keep it as long as possible - for, er, obvious reasons.

So, my question is:

Can I run original PAL (my region) discs through Gecko OS and not have the wii update if there is an update on the game disc (say, for games coming out in the next few months)?

Cheers

One problem though: new games might not be supported by Gecko OS, meaning they're unplayable. They'll probably work though, but you never know. Also, I don't think there will be any Gecko OS updates because of the Backup Launcher.

Nothing needs updating from it anyway, its spot on as it is

Many thanx Nuke, not surprised he's not updating it anyway, with his name getting dragged into backup loader channels etc, he wants nothing to do with backup loaders etc, he likes his name clear.
