Hacking Gecko Icon in HBC

Does anyone know that the gecko/lizard icon next to the planet icon in the HBC means? I can't find info on that anywhere. Does it mean GeckOS is loaded or something?

I installed HBC via twilight hack and it used to light up that icon, but then I reinstalled HBC using bannerbomb (after upgrading to 4.0 firmware) and now that icon doesn't light up anymore. I'm just curious what it is and whether or not I should care it's not lit up.

its not something for you to care about since you dont even know about it

its for usbgecko (debugging tool) from the same author of the original gecko os

if you have a usbgecko plugged to your wii, it will stay light up.
the same goes for the earth icon, if your wii is on a network.

it lights up when you stick a usb gecko in the memory card slot,
and im pretty sure it also lights up when you have memory cards in there too.
EDIT: just checked, they fixed the gc memory light up bug, so thats why its not lit up now.

I believe it is also related to the WiiLoad functionality (TCP loader for homebrew) which uses some Geckoloader code.
