GCN GCloader (clones?)

I've recently noticed that AliExpress has GCloader clones, they seem cheaper anyone tried them?

I'd imagine they end up with compatibility issues like the Dreamcast drive emulators and flash carts?

I'm using a sd2sp2 and softmodding via mariohax but I keep considering a drive emulator as my Lazer has been adjusted a few times.

Not really a "full" Clone - Lite is the better Term.

Mr Bear took a lot of time to create this,support him,also dan kunz,they bring great products to the market,and yes,it aint cheap.
I own 3x mode,neo geo cd sdloader,x station,ultra hdmi,dcdigital,ps1digital and in june a n64digital,gcloader ect...,always support the real creators guys,they invent and made the good stuff.
But good products costs money.

Hmm,so you rather buy from those thiefs then have a bit patience.
And they are not apple or microsoft,think about that,when they keep with there stock,its a loss for them.
And atm they have stock.

I thought the board was opensource? Am I mistaken? Plus they haven't been shipping to the uk.
To be honest this "lite" version is no better than the softmod way I'm currently using it reads more like it's a IPL replacement which I considered in the past but the hyperboot dev seems to have stopped

Don't think its opensource,3do rgb mod from dan kunz is opensource.

I guess I was mistaken. I might be confusing it with the gcvideo which is most certainly opensource, picked up a cheap board from AliExpress and I've been able to update it.
More than anything I'm just inquiring, but if it's not emulating and only acts as a sp2sd / gecko loader than it's clearly overpriced.

The main issue (for me) is lack of availability to the uk I was on the mailing list when the first batch went out before they revised and released the PNP version.

Ive even emailed badassconsoles about the IPL replacement last year but never got a reply.

Basically I want to eliminate the optical drive.

Like others have already said, the stuff the Chinese are making aren't even real clones, all it does is boot you into swiss, giving the same game compatibility as people using save exploits.

black-dog.tech and gc-loader.com (and now gamesconnection.co.uk for uk people) are both official they split the stock between themselves for us/European shipping respectively.
citrus3000psi and the gcloader twitter accounts have linked to each other in the past when the pnp variant was released
