Horrid games by Vancouver. Game 4 7-2 Hawks. Game 5 5-0 Hawks.

I do seriously hope that Vancouver manages to regain their confidence both mentally and physically. No doubt they are also psychologically drained with the past 2 playoffs in their minds. I did not think that this was going to be a easy series to win, especially when they blew us out last game. However many of my friends thought that it was going to be a sweep so they are obviously dissappointed.

I am having weird feelings that they will come back and take us up.

Sigh...

Everybody is to blame for the last two games.

Luongo letting in quick soft goals.
Top lines not scoring at all.
Defense letting Chicago walk in.
Coach not pulling Luongo instead keeps letting him play so he lets more goals in. If he pulls him early for Schneider, even if the team didn't score, at least the Goaltending would be better.
GM not bitching at the Coach and wondering why he isn't pulling Luongo when he should be.

As far as I can see, the only good player so far is being Schneider. When he comes in, he still managed to stop that breakaway chance tonight. And that's big because it's a backup goaltender.

Schneider better be starting next game. Because right now, I fail to see why I should watch the games, buy canucks gear, or give them any attention if they're not willing to actually play hockey.
It's as if they seem to think that just because they had one hell of a season, they're going to walk right into the Stanley Cup finals. They don't actually realize that when it comes to the playoffs, regular season stats are moot.

It's seriously a joke to watch them. If they keep playing like this, Chicago and it's fans have every right to brag and talk shit about the team. I mean look at the 'Hawks. They were down 3-0. They couldn't get their shit together. Then BAM. They've embarrassed the Canucks two games in a row.

I'm sorry, but as good as Luongo is, he hasn't proven that he's actually a Superstar. And the team, they have incredible seasons, but they crash and burn during the post. They haven't proven, in 17 years, that they're even a Cup contender in the Playoffs.

I mean, look at what all the Coaches of other teams and the media were saying about the Canucks during the regular season. Hell even the Detroit Red Wings coach said that they're going to be a serious force to reckon with and that they're a cup contender. Where's that Canucks team? I want them back.

I'd love to have my hometown Vancouver Canucks win it, but I'm not very hopeful to be honest with you. If we played with that kind of emotion and aggressiveness like in Game 7 we could easily win the Cup, but the question is more consistency than anything.

If the Canucks play consistently at that level, they're definitely the Cup champions of this year. However, I'm placing my guess on Philadelphia or Detroit for now until the Canucks can prove that.

Yesterday's victory almost felt like a Stanley Cup win itself though, the atmosphere of the game was just intense the entire way through. Finally making it past to Blackhawks sure felt great. It felt almost like the Gold Medal game from last year's Olympics.

Boston wins in OT! They scored just as I turned on the TV... bad luck? LOL!

Compared to Vancouver's winning celebration, Boston's seemed so... simple. The celebration lasted at most only 2 minutes while the Canucks stayed on for 4 minutes.

Only 1 more series to wrap up and we're onto Round 2! Can't wait

Vancouver's celebration was because they finally beat the Blackhawks after the past three seasons. I would've been that happy if I was a Canuck player that's played in all three. The Bruins was more of a typical series win. They're simply happy that they can move on, not to eliminate a demon that's been haunting them for three seasons. And I'll be honest with you, this series has been the craziest first-round I've seen in my life. Especially Game 7.

Also, Tampa Bay Lightning shut-out Pittsburgh for Game 7 victory.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck the Canucks
(Yes, I'm still upset they beat us even though we had no reason to be there or force a game 7 or force OT)
So yeah.
Don't follow hockey too much though outside of the Hawks.
Still, I'm going with the Flyers.
Just cuz basically.
