Hacking Gbatemps cheat database

Hi, could someone shed some light on how do I add cheats to my sd card so my m3i zero reads it, I noticed gbatemp has their own cheat files, but do I need to first install some sort of firmware or homebrew application, at the moment I use whatever m3i zero uses as standard which I think is sakura. Is it just so simple that all I do is make a new folder in my sd card and name it cheats and extract gbatemps cheat file into it?

Also can someone shed some light whether Im using m3 sakura or not as Im not sure myself, and if not how do I install sakura as I don't understand it at all.

Download the cheat.db and put it into the system folder then the new cheats will show up if there are any new ones.

EDIT: is the firmware you're using pinkish?

what are the codes that don't work
did you switch on the instant cheat function and etc

Ok.
I tried it on lunar knights, the world ends with you and more
and i did try instant codes too and i didn't had download play on.
Anybody know the problem?

Btw i am using newest cheat db from cheats.gbatemp.net

go grab the 13th Aug 2009 database now

i remember dsrules was talking about the instant cheat function was broken on the recent sakura
i am not sure is it fixed by now
anyway, what are the codes that you are trying to load?

i will assume you had selected all codes, save and start the game
if all of them doesn't work... i think is better you write to the team and tell them you problem
