ROM Hack GBATemp Translation Team

Guys.
Don't want to sound too anxious or anything, but GBATemp community is really Huge and skilled.
How about starting one or more Permanent translation teams.

The Team Should include:

Text Translators (at least 3 people)
Art Translators (2-3 people)
Rom Hackers (at least 3 people)
ToolKit writers (2-3 people)
Project Coordinator (2 people)

Every several months the team gets the votes from a poll on the site,
and starts translating the selected game (if possible).

this way the whole process will be organized.
I am willing to assist in any way possible (Art translation, coordination or anything else)

Publicity will increase when it happens
GbaTemp would reach a immense kind of fame
70% more subscribes to the forum
50% more publicity
57% more fame and fortune (doesn't matter as for me)
45% more skillfulled people willing to help
85% More Translations perhaps

So i think its a good idea perhaps but it can also end in a bad idea nobody knows except those who have their own fortune

True, I like some of them... Also, It will be cool if there are a few full translations... + fix'd.

spiritos, I asked about psycoblaster, because Noitora listed all the guys that are kinda Newbies here, but psycoblaster is translator for quite some time now..He doesn't belong to that list, that's why I asked..

LOL, cool, why not...BTW, just wanted to mention one small fact for the heck of it XSEED are like 15-20 people in all...

do you think we should set a criteria for what should be translated? like games that haven't been licensed for EU/US Distribution, Games that appeal to only a very small audience and such...

As you probably noticed I am not that new in the scene, just haven't had the time to register, or be active on the forums, I've been browsing this site Circa 2005 or so when it had only GBA releases

spiritos, I asked about psycoblaster, because Noitora listed all the guys that are kinda Newbies here, but psycoblaster is translator for quite some time now..He doesn't belong to that list, that's why I asked..

I know that's time consuming...and no one can have it 24/7 the idea is to have something organised...I know about the time issues, I am pulling a full time job IRL, but can spare a couple of hours a day + weekends to assist.

If that pleasures you, I tend to do translation projects one after another since I don't have a job right now and nothing better to do, so that means a lot of spare time, you can have a poll topic somewhere where you vote for game translations or simply post the game you want to see translated in the official requests topic, if the game's good maybe me or somebody else might pick it up, also the best way to have something done is to do it yourself so you should give yourself a chance to learn romhacking or Japanese, you will be surprised by what you can do.

I think the main focus should be on first party games that haven't been announced for release elsewhere after a year or so, or became vaporware after their announcement.

Genres like RPG or strategy being next in line. As they tend to benefit a lot from having the language barrier removed. Certain series given priority, due to their low chance. Like Super Robot Wars.
