Gaming GBAtemp Starcraft night

Just an idea, but since we already WiFi nights, we could just have a StarCraft gathering on the same night.
Tempers could meet in channel GBAtemp on US-West (or east, whatever you guys prefer) and we could organize stuff from there. To make things easier, it would be asked that you would use your GBAtemp username, or atleast or Temp-NAME HERE so we can keep non tempers out of our channel.

Who would be willing to participate?

I have a feeling that the majority of the games being played will be use map settings, so you don't really need skill for that.

Use map settings is great for casual play. Sure, Melee and TvB are great, but it requires way too much prep time for myself. Also, I refuse to compete in a serious Melee match without being able to speak with my teammates, and I can't stand FFA matches.

How cool would it be to get some 4v4 matches where everyone on each team had mics? Jesus, it would be amazing.

Yes, FFAs horrible with alot of people.
Can't tell, I normally play LAN
2v2 LAN when you're within 2 feet of each other, so you have to trust them all not to turn around =D

woot! this idea would be awesome! but i have a suggestion. my modem has conflicts with battle.net, and there's NOTHING i can do about it. how about u guys dl hamachi, and we can play on lan! there's gonna be no lag, and there can be 8 ppl at at time! we can use this thread to talk about who wants to host wat game. i can play a game rite now. msg for instructions on how to dl hamachi, and we just need to make a hamachi network (takes 3 seconds).

I'd definitely participate! I love SC! It'd be better if it were WCIII though, seeing as how WC can support 12 players instead of 8.

Edit: Sadly, I don't think EVERYONE'S computer can handle it. But hey, it's always an option.

If anyone has pirated StarCraft, someone should host a PvPGN server.
That works just as well

Also Hamachi's a bitch to set up, but yea it works.
Still prefer PvPGN as when you play with Hamachi, sometimes hard to tell whos who.

Yeah, I love Starcraft! Aside from the fact that I can't host games and the borders are cut off, it's great. I really like to play UMS games. (Starship Troopers anyone?)

Who cant run wc3, heck who cant run it on max and still be off the charts.
