What is the spec difference between the limited edition supercard DS2 and the non limited edition??
From what I know, only the look of it is different, it works just like a normal DSTwo
Edit: Ninja'd!

this is correct. it is the exact same scds2 that we know and love. the gbatemp edition is limited to 200, includes a gbatemp logo sticker, a tin (like how the ievo shipped), a retractable stylus, a wrist strap, a msd reader, and the scds2 instructions.

here are photos of mine:

I would absolutely, positively love an updated cheat tutorial for the PSP. I've been trying to figure out how to enable cheats with my cfw, but to no avail.

So did I. XD

Link.

Man, I need to think up something to tutorial it up about. This seems like a fun competition.

My thread got locked(maybe because of other 'tempers bashing me comments saying,"this tutorial is useless".)
Am I still a part of this contest? Do I still have a chance on winning some of the prizes?

Thanks!

So, I've been sitting here thinking "what hasn't been done that I can do?"

Every time I think of something though, either it is covered in a sticky, or it is extensively covered in the wiki. Shit be hard.

A couple of stickies haven't been updated in a long time (sometimes years), and while they may explain their method fine, it could be way out of date, with new tools and techniques used to do it better.

I've been thinking about that with the updated tutorials regarding the in-game cheat engine for the PSP. Sadly, I'm a total noob when it comes to the PSP, so that's out. I need to find something DS related that works for me. I know I'll think of something, then it is just a matter of using my mad skills to whip out something awesome.

I'm thinking about doing a neoDS tutorial, I know there's a lot of questions on how to convert roms
adding a good FAQ with the tutorial would be nice too

I'm gonna wait a few days, if no one do it, than I will.

Oh man, neoDS, that was a pain to get working well. Still not even sure I had the conversion process down, or if I just got lucky to get a ROM spit out that worked.

that's why a good detailed guide is needed

put that "mad skillz" to work!

I should still have all of the needed files on my external. Will just test some and get to work on it.

The problem with computers, primarily, is that there are whole websites dedicated to tutorials and the like for them that are pretty huge. There is just so much involving PC stuff, if the contest were open to that, there would be a million tutorials on downloading, installing, and how to use programs. It would become more than a little bit cluttered.

Of course, I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure this focuses on machines made for video games though and tries to avoid straying from that. Like I said, PC's are just too open for tutorials that could be written.

One question, is the PC considered an "other console"?

QUOTE(shadowmanwkp @ May 2 2011, 01:51 AM) Can you also make tutorials on emulators that emulate consoles on the pc? They don't really fit into homebrew, or hacking...

no, sorry. the other console section is for emulators, homebrew, applications, etc, that work on other consoles (dreamcast, dingoo, pandora, etc). the "PC" is not a console, even if consoles are sometimes considered to be "computers", so the emulators that run on it won't fit into any of our categories.

for those who have not read this whole thread, PC/Mac/Linux (as an O/S)/Android (as an O/S), etc, are not things that fit into the categories of this contest. this contest is for tutorials about the nds, wii, psp, ps3, and other consoles (dingoo, gemei, pandora, wiz, dreamcast, nes, etc) you could include a section about the PC if the app you are using requires it (such as a streaming application on the ps3) but any guides, tutorials, or faqs which are solely about the PC are not eligible for a prize.

also keep in mind that guides should benefit gbatemp in someway, by helping our community, this idea is the foundation for this contest. we focus on the nintendo products but decided that psp and ps3 information is stretched across random posts. including those systems was for the benefit of the site. the other consoles section was my influence because i love those systems and most of those odd handhelds have a huge homebrew following. there is a lot that can be written about them. PC/Mac is not a focus of this site and those guides, while useful, would not benefit this site as a whole. simply put we aren't a PC/Mac site.

i hope that answer is satisfactory for you.
