Hello,

I'm planning to buy a Slot 1 Device soon, but I dont know wich one. I will wait for the reviews of them, but I still have one question:

Is there any GBA support by one of this devices?

Because I really want this.

Tnx in adv.

The M3 Real (not released yet) says you will be able to play GBA games from it

Any info, screens or whatever on that device?
And will that be a Slot 1 Device (probably will be) but you never know

And there's really no other way to do this?
Like putting some kinda app on my Micro SD card, and then it can play GBA roms? (I know ridiculous, but you never know

)

And could anyone make a guess on when it comes out?

You missed a word, "magically". Seriously, why NDS doesn't play PSP games? We should just put some application for it!

Slot 1 is not accessible in GBA mode, so GBA games can only be played from slot 2. This is a fundamental limitation of the hardware, and it will not be "fixed". The DS already has perfect GBA emulation built in via slot 2, so it is extremely unlikely that anyone will write a GBA emulator for the DS.

Even if an emulator was written, slot 1 is too slow to host GBA roms and the DS does not have enough RAM to hold any but the smallest GBA games, so a slot 2 cart would still be needed.

My wild guess would be some time next year in the Spring. Of course, I have no credible evidence to back that statement up.

What I may predict (one of these):
*a slot-1 and slot-2 combo so you can play GBA games and clean NDS roms. Maybe they'll sell you the slot-2 device separately for people with simply. So your simple life of only DS games can be obliterated with the reality you have been so ignorant about. :-)
*emulation (::ick!:

*Just friggin' more features. The simple life on the farm is no more! The real is now. Nukes and CFCs and all. (please don't mind on what that means if you don't get it)

It doesn't have onboard memory, so to speak. It has NAND (which can't be used for GBA). Not PSRAM or NOR.

I wouldn't be surprised if the M3 team comes out with a Slot-1 G6, but nothing has been announced so far I believe. DS-X is the only choice if you want built-in flash.

    I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
