Hi there,

is it possible to play GBA roms on a DSi with a SuperCard DSONEi? Or any other flash card? I heard rumors that it's not possible because on the DSi you lack the extra RAM from the GBA cartadge and the DSi extra resources can't be accessed yet by the flash cards, is this true?

Thanks in advance!

Very true. (Topic Reported)

This has been asked a lot of time and the answer is:

No. However, in the future, they may have a Virtual Console on the DSi for Gameboy Advance games (since you can just use emulators for Gameboy Color and below), and then you can just buy the channels or some type of program will be made to pirate them.

Thanks for the answers, although I don't completly understand it. I mean you can (I think) emulate SNES games, but not GBA? Is GBA more hardware hungry than a SNES?

It's not just the hardware as much as the fact that the DS doesn't have enough RAM to do it. Nobody made an emulator that uses the RAM expansions because you might as well use GBA expansions to run ROMS natively anyway. But people might make one for DSi mode some day.

For now, threads like this one will be closed, in the future, if any kind of hack happens, and even slightly chance of GBA emulation shows, we will have a proper thread, but until then, this matter has been talked over too many times..
