Hacking gba questions

um, so i was looking around the forum, i saw someone reccomend summon night swordcraftstory 1&2, and tried out 2.

i got to the part where you can savve for th first time, and when i tried to save it said "save failed"

i looked in the sakura options for the game, and it listed RTS.
is GBA RTS working?
if it is working, will that work if the game wont save normally?
should i try gbaexploader or something?
should i try the original m3real firmware?

it sux when games dont save

IIRC, I had this problem with Alien Hominid, it might be an EEPROM problem (but don't quote me on that). Try running the rom again in the M3Real firmware with the Patch Load instead of regular loading, I think that worked for me...

In the Rom Options in Sakura, set "Loading Speed" to "Slow" or whatever it's called.
Workes for me with my GBA games

i just used the m3r fw, and it works fine, and saves fine too, took me a while to figure out the buttons for rts though =/
